The world lost Joe Magno, a founder of the West Chester Community Band. The Conductor of the band was a leader that many of the members had the pleasure to spend several years with. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

It’s always hard to put together words that can paint a picture of what a man means to others. Seeing how they smile when you mention his name can’t be put into words. Hearing the tone of voice they have when stories are shared can’t be reflected in passages on paper. Seeing tears in their eyes show how much Joe Magno meant to West Chester Community Band.

Thank you for bringing this organization together for us to share music with the world.

Let’s not rest where the shadows fall for too long, but step out into the light and celebrate his life. We shall continue making beautiful music together. I’m sure he’ll hear it where he rests.

The service will be at St. Agnes Church in West Chester, PA.
Saturday, November 1st
Visitation will be 9AM – 10AM.
Funeral Mass will be 10AM – 11AM.
Joe’s obituary will be in the Daily Local this week.
